Welcome Theresa Hall

Happy Friday! Today I’d like to welcome another writer to my blog. I’d love for you to get to know Theresa Hall.

Hello Theresa. What is the genre you write?

I write romantic suspense, but I would like to try suspense one day. I tried writing a contemporary romance once, but I soon realized I need to stay in my lane. It was really hard for me!

Chuckle. That’s cute… I like that, stay in your lane. I know what you mean. I write historical romance and haven’t really tried anything else. Tell your readers about a typical day in your life.

Oh my goodness…well I’m a second grade teacher so my day is loud! Since the pandemic I find it has been extremely hard to write. These last 2 ½ years have been the hardest I’ve ever had as a teacher. It’s definitely taken a toll on my writing schedule.

I can imagine. I student taught in second grade. 🙂 When did you know that you wanted to be a writer?

I always loved to read, even at a young age, but I remember being in middle school when I saw an author being interviewed on TV. She said, “Everyone has at least one book inside them waiting to be written.”  Something clicked in me and I knew that someday I had to write my own book.

What a neat story. Thank you for sharing. I understand your newest book is called Accidental Target. Here’s a little bit about it:

On an icy road in the dead of night

what she sees might get her killed.

Allison Moore can’t deny what she sees—a lifeless hand sticking out of a tarp in the back of a crashed pickup truck. Seconds later, she’s on the run with a murderer on her heels. Nowhere is safe and no one can be trusted…except police sergeant Jackson Archer. But with someone set on silencing her, can Jackson keep his promise of protection?

Your book sounds interesting. Is there something about you most people wouldn’t know?

I am extremely shy and introverted. I think I’m getting better with age but I still have a hard time being comfortable around people I don’t know.

I can relate to being introverted. 🙂 What is your favorite Bible verse and why?

Philippians 4:13. I can do all things through Him who gives me strength.

I live by this verse. It reminds me that I can’t do it alone, but with God I can get through anything.

I like that. What advice would you give to new authors?

Never give up, don’t compare yourself to others, and accept God’s timing. He knows better than we do what’s best for us.

Great advice. Final question, where can readers find you online?
