Book: FELONS & FINDERS (Granite & Gloss Rescuers: Book 2)
Author: LR STRONG
Genre: Christian Suspense Release Date: January 18, 2026
Powerful forces hide the most dangerous felons.
Jake Granite is more determined than ever to take down every criminal he possibly can—especially those targeting the most vulnerable. But even working with his private investigation team and law enforcement task forces, it’s been impossible. They always arrive at the scene of the crime too late. It’s infuriating. Who is at the top and who are the informers?
Tarina Gloss has commissions for sculptures and paintings but no time to work on them. After unexpectedly being pulled into Jake’s work, she is eager to save every victim she can. But she’s not equipped or experienced in this type of work. What can she possibly do to help?
Jake and Tarina discover a new partner wants to join them. He’s the Finder, and no felon can hide from him. The only problem is that the Finder only gives them confusing clues—or sets them up to stumble on the criminals in action. He does things in unpredictable ways each time, so they never know what to expect.
Soon they are in over their heads. Tragedies happen, leaving them confused. Can they handle working with the Finder? Most of all, can they trust him?

Interview
If you could give advice to a newbie writer, what would it be? Study the craft of writing by reading books, articles, and blogs about it. No one is born a great writer, just as no one is born a professional musician. You have to learn from the experts and practice a lot. Then write from your heart. Don’t use AI-generated words. Readers want to know what a real person’s experiences and creative ideas are. Before publishing, always use a professional editor to review your writing. Even though I’m a award-winning editor, I can’t edit my own writing! I need professional editors to correct my writing as well.
Do you use humor at all in your writing?
Yes, especially in my cozy mystery stories about a cat who solves mysteries (C9 Rescue Cat). I do have a few humorous parts in my suspense books as well.
What is the easiest part of your writing process?
Writing is easy for me. It’s definitely time-consuming, but I thoroughly enjoy it! My main career is being a professional editor as well as teaching editing courses, so I have to finish all my editing work before I can write. Editing and writing require two completely different mindsets, so I need to take a break to switch mental gears (and give my eyes a break from the computer) before I can write. When I write, I am completely immersed in my stories. It’s my “happy place.”
Give us an insight into your faith in the Lord. I was raised in a strong Christian home, and I’ve loved and served the Lord all my life. He is most important to me, and I talk with Him throughout the day. He is my closest companion, so He is central to my stories as well.
Tell us something unique about yourself.
I have synesthesia, which I didn’t tell people about for most of my life. Most people are fascinated by it and can’t imagine what it’s like. So I gave it to my heroine, Tarina, and readers can catch a glimpse of what it’s like to live with synesthesia through her experiences.
